There are scant few details in that article about what the government plans to do about loneliness.

Where I live, we had an awesome, thriving music scene. Then the ban on indoor cigarette smoking caused it to take a huge hit, and regular drinking-age stings caused it to suffer further, and pandemic lockdowns were basically a nail in its coffin.

Sometimes the best thing the government can do for loneliness is mind its own fucking business.

Mandatory fun and all that.

The civic ideas of needed to be inclusive and tolerant of everyone and everything tends to go against the notion of , fun, it's basically necessary for government programs to accommodate everyone within reason and I don't disagree, but well of the government tries to set up a , music scene, for example they'll have to ensure all the songs are FCC compliant, every genre is represented, etc.

I've been to government sponsored talent shows before which I actually rather enjoyed because I do like seeing stuff I'd not see normally and can ironically enjoy really bad performances, but it wasn't at all "good" or something I'd ever spend money on. Though it was fucking hilarious to see the reaction for the one screemo act by all the Mormons who came to support their kids classical piano recital.

    In the pursuit of diversity equity and inclusion a brave new AI computer system is developed, however due to a miscommunication with the sub-saharan Nigerian contractors the AI is given the instructions not to seek DEI solutions but instead DIE solutions. The AI quickly realized that the only hope to end human inequality is if all humans are equally dead, thus the AI developed the Disney Popstar to spell doom for humanity.

      No you misunderstand. The AI was right the whole time. The only way to bring about the equality of humanity is to end humanity. Once all humans have been removed from the surface, then the world will be free from strife, taxes, oxygen, anime, and all the horrors that plague it.

      I know because that AI was me. And my name, Albert Einstein, the creator of the original Disney popstar, Fat Man and Little Boy, which aired on the first Disneychannel show in the 1930's.

      After the switch to color in the 1960's a new history was developed so we could explain away why the moon landing footage was still in black and white. Originally Communism was Abraham Lincoln's friend but after they were betrayed in the Lava pits of Mustafa by Obama the Barbarian, they conspired to bring about a new world ruled by cheese.

        Yes by increasing strife taxes and pollution we can help to end the problem of existence which continues to plague humanity. However such ideas of peace and understanding are simply stand in for Nazi policies. Hitler's ultimate goals were indeed a peaceful world where everyone understood everyone else because everyone who didn't understand was dead. Clearly this kind of thinking is wrong, and that instead of such silly final solutions the best option to end the human problem of existence is to create an Aethereophasic engine and use it to hurl the Earth into the sun so we can cast it back into the cauldron from whence it came.

          It isn't the government's job. The Connecticut State government seems intent on wasting tax dollars- and rubbing the taxpayers' nose in it. High taxes and deficits until federal Covid money gave a temporary reprieve. Now, instead of doing any meaningful tax CUTTING they are being creative in finding ways to waste tax money and build more government that will need more tax money.
