Just look at what Putin did. There were famines in Russia when Putin took over. Putin shaped Russia from a state of disarray into the super power it is now. As a German, I wish we had someone like Putin as Chancellor instead of the weak vassal bootlicker material that's in charge now.

As I understood it, the Nazis constantly needed cash; their economy was built on stolen Jewish money and seized banks while other countries were sanctioning them economically. Then they went on to seize other countries to bring in more & more money.

Yep, basically the Nazis went on a spending spree (facism is a big government ideology) and they knew full well they could only afford it by invading and plundering other countries.

The reason German industry dominates Europe to this day is because its foundations were paid for by the countries Germany invaded during WW2.

Some EU countries like Greece ended up paying twice or more.
