2nd paragraph, they claim:

Harris bemoaned a “world where people are having their reputations destroyed and their careers threatened for tweets they sent as teenagers,” though he didn’t specify whose reputations had been ruined by their teenage tweets, and Rogan didn’t ask him to clarify. But the implication was clear: Holding people accountable for what they say and what those words do is an offense far worse than saying cruel, racist, and divisive things in the first place. The reputational damage done to the utterer is the real social problem, not the more diffuse damage done by the utterance.

Then they do exactly that for the rest of the article, attacking him for every controversial guest he's hosted).

At one point, they use a plainly Owen Benjamin (right wing stnad up comedian and live streamer) insult:

As a podcaster, the 51-year-old Rogan is basically what you’d get if a less-neurotic Marc Maron and a less-manic Alex Jones had a baby who looked like a muscular thumb.

It's hard to tell if the author is a crypto-Rightwinger, whether the left has been stealing memes from the right and/or watching their content/studying their enemy.

I've watched Joe Rogan, he's not the most thorough dude, but he mostly sits there and asks questions. He lets people tell their story and explain their views, and that's something that has been lacking in current society where people get their views through someone's else's filter.

I guess people could criticize him for not being good enough, but I doubt he should be criticized for doing what he does.

The political crowd should wander off and leave Joe alone, he's interested in discovering interesting stuff, not projecting his views onto the rest of us.

Does anyone remember Digg?

Digg was all about free speech and commenting, then in like 6 months it went all censor-happy and began to ban over the littlest things.

In the last 2-3 years, Reddit has gone from being an open place to discuss and share, to extremely left wing and censorship happy. My god, you can't even discuss even remotely non-PC things on any of the Canadian subreddits.

The Canadian subreddits in particular, and the cesspool of /r/politics, are all so tightly controlled that you'd think /r/Vancouver especially, has nothing but left wing loonies.

This is why more and more people are becoming extremist, because it is natural to seek out organic truths, even if they are offensive, rather than inorganic astro-turf.

When that idiot rapper Lil Dicky was posting his new songs, the sheer amount of canned comments was blatantly obvious, and if you pointed it out, you'd be banned! So many times I began noticing just how scripted Reddit had become. I have no idea where this is going but the only place I go for legitimate conversation and a wide variety of viewpoints is... 4chan's pol!

Well, maybe this will be different...

I can't even read a single page of post titles from my home city's sub, it's fucking disgusting (and no it's not Vancouver) - knowing that those kind of people live in my city and could be in my proximity or interact with me makes me feel ill and makes me want to move the fuck away.

One thing I have noticed is that the female moderators are always the most quick to anger and to ban. I get banned all the time on so many different subs, not even for anything traditionally "offensive" like slurs or anything, I don't post that, but I will post things like "To play devil's advocate, I think you should consider x, y, and z" and often even those posts are shadowbanned instead of outright banned. Then I ask the moderators why I was banned and then I will get something condescending from the mods.

Meanwhile, the mods themselves will make comments that are extremely left wing and do not let anyone right of Mao speak!

Almost as if women have higher empathy than men - leading them to act (at least initially) from the heart, rather than the head.

Such a difference would explain the long term professional differences (warriors vs caretakers) between the genders that (with a hint of "genes matter", both of which) are being thrown into the trash by liberal sciences.

It was a good run but that seems to be the natural progression of any highly-trafficked discussion forum, first you get the migration (at that time from Digg) of the first adopters, usually relatively open-minded and civil. Then the mass adoption gathers steam and the low-hanging extremists (both left and right wings) drop their markers and shit all over the place. Cue the next migration of sane minds to the next untarnished forum.

It's important to remember that centrist neoliberal dirtbags are not the left. The left doesn't want censorship. The true left want complete transparency. See Jimmy Dore, Chris Hedges, Abby Martin, Lee Camp. The "PC left" want nothing more than for you to believe they are "the left". They are not. Dont fall for the ruse. The center is running the show. It's a fucking terrible show.

The only thing I've ever found to be honestly true - is that every side has an agenda - and that there is evidence out there to put the blame on whomever you want at this point - and I feel pretty sure such a thing is done on purpose.

Don't have to hide the truth if you bury it in a pit with every other possibility.

He's sold out on MSM hidden truths and facts. He's now gone functionally mainstream.

The beginning of the end was episode 1111 with Abby Martin where they discuss the reality of the state of Israel.
He received the usual death threats, etc. Except for this time it was probably mossad, or some similar group. Folks who don't fuck around.
He didn't sell out Martin or pull the episode; to his credit. So IMO he is still worthy of some reasonably high measure of respect.
Who knows what he went through after that, but he definitely changed.

Watch the episode and you will definitely understand why.
It's full of unfiltered facts that you will never hear or see in any MSM. JRE #1111..

You'll learn plenty, and it ain't pretty.

From the blog: (not going to call it an article, it was extremely difficult to keep my head above the high level of bias):

There is a difference between debating something that is a true matter of opinion and entertaining an argument that is palpably false, between a willingness to look stupid in one’s personal quest for wisdom and the choice to actually be stupid by deciding that all theories are equally valid and deserve equal consideration.

I don't understand how the author can assume an argument is palpably false without examining the argument. Of course you can refute a faulty premise, but that does not preclude debate. This is what freedom boils down to: not being told by others what to think. If we can't have discourse and dissenting voices cannot be heard what is there to talk about? What's left?
