It was 82 F (28 C) even with my AC on full blast the other day.... I think I need a new AC. Texas summers suck. Also this house could use some insulation updates, like the single-paned windows are terrible

Oof that's rough. Maybe you can shade your AC unit or stop cooling certain rooms.

Yeah it's gradually leaking freon too, the radiator in the air exchanger has lots of little holes in it, I just need a new system tbh. It's 20 years old I think.

yep isolation works perfect, i dont have airco but its only 23 Celsius inside while outside 28 C.....just be sure not to let the heat in/have doors windows/curtains closed when its hot outside, i only open in the early morning when its cooled down, becaus ones the heat is inside the temperature stays

32°C, then I got a portable AC unit. Heating in Finland is fine, but no-one prepared for summers that used to be much cooler than what they're now. It's 26°C-ish now, with the AC running.

wtf 32 in Finland 🙉🙃, must be agony for you people there, its 28 outside today and inside still only 22 Celsius, just keeping all the windowns/curtains and door closed 24 housr,no heat coming in, i have no airco, but lucky very good isolation....tomomrrow prob.records outside between 32-36 in the Netherlands, what about in Finland?

Insides get much hotter than outsides, because of the greenhouse effect and super good insulation, plus heat radiated from electrical appliances and such. Windows are three layer and even if you open the specific vent windows, they do nothing compared to the effect of the sun, and it messes with the ventilation machines making it even worse.

yeh true when the heat is entered my house and it gets cooler outside it stays warmer inside for atleast 2 weeks, BUT its harder for the heat to enter your home when you keep everything closed with good isolation

104°F or 40°C - my entire house -- except my bedroom. I had a window AC & it drastically cooled my room by 25 degrees.

JC where you living Sahara?
The Pacific Northwest. Every summer since 2012, we've been in the upper 90s all the way to the 100s and the humidity is fucking worse than Florida.
interesting area ,i read very different from coast to other places, from Seattle raining (Go Seahawks 🙃) to desert areas on other side of the mountains right?, im from very small country 41.543 km, you drive through it in 2 hours with your car, so it almost the same in the whole country...ps just hit 26 Celcius inside...facking record-former was 24,5- but way better then the 36-40 outside and record of 40,7 yesterday, lucky its final HEAT day ...for now
