A reminder that in 2010 NASA published a balanced report on world climate that was deleted after one month. Wayback still has it though. by useless_aether in ClimateSkeptics

First rate post! Excellent info.

I find if interesting that NASA had recorded countless stellar events such as: neuron star collisions, supernova, black hole formation, stellar collisions, etc.

Yet, the scientific community seems to project some lunatic consensus that our dominant star is a benign and passive object which may vary slightly, but with minimal percieved impact.

The sun makes up virtually all of the mass in the solar system. The solar system is; the sun with trace amounts of everything else.
The consensus is beyond myopic... Antediluvian societies existed. A single Carrington event would set the world back for decades.

Another thing that the US is lacking is decent healthcare. US Infant Mortality Rate Higher Than Other Wealthy Countries.

The US pays the most money, for the poorest quality care among wealthy nations.

I'm seeing a trend.

Yeah, but they've told people now, so it's OK. I doubt they were using it, because they're not Facebook.

Your willingness to defend corporate crimes is truly mind boggling.
Would you let the FBI or CIA place a microphone in your house as:

you doubt they were using it
because they're not Facebook

???

Would you be ok with the FBI or CIA having listening devices in law offices, or hospitals?

It is difficult to conceive of a honest reason why someone like yourself would eagerly defend corporate crimes; especially unsolicited...

The company earlier this month announced it would add Google Assistant support to the Nest Secure system, meaning owners would have the ability to deliver voice commands to control the system. The announcement immediately raised questions because it meant Google was allowing users to activate a built-in microphone that customers previously did not know existed.

"The on-device microphone was never intended to be a secret and should have been listed in the tech specs," a Google spokesperson said in a statement on Wednesday. "That was an error on our part."

Debt, The First 5000 Years, by David Graeber - Audiobook by Robin in podcasts

I've been following David Graeber for some time. This book is truly an eye opener.

Here's a link to a more recent talk. David Graeber - Debt, Service, and the origins of Capitalism

The history of economics is misunderstood in the modern era (I suspect that this is intentional).

It's not difficult to understand why this crucial history isn't taught in school.

I'm glad you included the Bernie qualifier. ;-).

Edit:. Ralph Nader definitely qualifies as a social capitalist (Adam Smith economics, not the revisionist versions), although he hasnt claimed that. Socialism was already demonized, when he was young.

Anyone can have the name; the economic principles are the same.
