I see 22. The vertical lines are messing with me though, so it's hard to say for sure if there are more, or if all I'm seeing are the bands/splits and my brain is filling in the rest.

Some women can see more colours than other people and will be able to make out all of them.

Not all the lines are the same width, some are double width to catch out cheats.

Six: Purple, Blue, Cyan, Green, Yellow, Red.

I can tell the difference between the gradients but those are the distinct colors.

colors are funny aren't they. I wonder if humans will evolve to detect more colors or if the need for color detection is over since we no longer need to avoid poisonous fruit in the wild. Maybe in a few generation we'll be able to see x rays and sheit

Man, than one shade of yellow and particular darker blue/purple shade are getting me. Are lines repeating on a few of these? Expanding the image makes the coloration distorted, like smears of other colors down through main color lines too.

Depends greatly on the quality and calibration of your screen, whether or not your OS is applying any color adjustments, and on the lighting conditions in which you're viewing it
