It was just a matter of living in a low income area, where everyone has large, aggressive dogs that they leave in the yard all day.

Bike commuting definitely contributed to my "peak". I had two routes I could take to get to work, one was 5 miles and the other was 7 miles. The 5 mile route was right by an unleashed, fenced dog park. Thought it'd be fine. Bunch of people would leave their dogs unleashed outside of the fenced dog park and I'd end up getting chased. It's really frustrating, too, when you ask them to leash their pet and they act like it's the end of the world. This was definitely the beginning of me realizing how selfish and thoughtless dog owners are, along with how stupid the animals themselves are.

I had to make the tough decision to remove our family dog from our house. It was an older pitbull and was becoming increasingly unstable. It made an aggressive movement toward one of my kids, and that was that. I blame both pitbulls and my lady for being an insanely bad pet owner. I would choose any other dog over a pitbull. Cats are fucking worse than anything though, fuck cats too.

I'm done with pits. I've seen lots of loving ones. But I've seen them maul other dogs and each other many times now, and I see how my brother's pits need to be caged because they're violent.

Seeing two of them fight each other is brutal. If they attack you there's not anything you can do even with a bat or stick. A small caliber gun might not work either.
