Is there any group of people that isn't outwardly homophobic anymore? At least when I was younger some groups at least pretended to care lol. Now we're all "f words" and "genital fetishists" no matter whom you ask.

The Trump voting thing is just an excuse to be homophobic. He handpicked a gay Trump supporter to be able to be violent against a "faggot". He could have criticized the guy's political stance without using a homophobic slur, but using the slur was the entire point of the tweet.

Not saying trump is any better, but I'm old enough to remember when Biden voted in favor of the marriage protection act and the same dude telling people to jump the gay MAGA guy is probably voting for Biden

Hard agree. I am against Trump but if we are talking LGB issues, Biden is a bigot as well.

Biden's foundation is partnered with an organization called Gender Spectrum that goes into schools trying to convince gay kids that they're actually transgender.

So, yes, ol' Joe might still be a bit homophobic...

The left’s anger at LGB who don’t subscribe to their politics makes it pretty clear they only tolerate minorities who they can use as props. Then, they sit back and wonder why they lose support even from traditionally liberal LGB.

Neither of the American presidential candidates are particularly good. Why is it bad if a gay male votes for one (and thus deserves to be violently attacked) but not the other?

Also, fuck anyone who thinks homosexuals are all a super-left wing hivemind. Fuck that. I'm a centrist and it doesn't make me less gay.

They are just trying to get us to be used for more consistent voting numbers. "The gay vote" "the black vote" they don't care about us as people.

Remember kids, Joe Biden will revoke your blackness card if you don't vote for him! Pay no attention to his vote against desegregation, the way he called mixed race schooling a "jungle", his staunch criminalization or his prosecutor running mate behind the curtain!

I'm a centrist and it doesn't make me less gay.

I mean, this is the community that is full of straight people who call themselves queer. They have to associate politics and personality with sexuality, because otherwise they'd have to admit they're just regular straight people.

They don't see us as complicated human beings. They see us as pawns, as useful idiots. At least Trump doesn't support hormone blockers on children.

Trump doesn't care: it it were politically expedient he'd be handing hormone blockers out like candy.

Source: I've dealt with him in the past.

Yeah. Trump is still a New York property developer who worships money.

I've had two interactions with The Donald, both years before he became president, so when Trump fans tell me I suffer from "Trump Derangement Syndrome" I tell them that I thought Trump was a grifter back in the 1980s, and so did everyone else who knew him.

There are a lot of MAGA conservatives who think that Trump is their guy. All Trump is conserving is his wealth and his fame.

Trump is no friend to gays, to women, to anyone who can't serve his interests. And again, I say this as someone who interacted with him years before he became president. That Trump was a rich boy, screw-up, show man, grifter AND A DEMOCRAT was no secret to anyone who knew him in the decades before his presidency.

That Trump managed to snow so many Americans, is, I think, a testimonial to how far the Far, Far, Far Left (which would include the gender ideology movement) has alienated the Democratic party from normal people.

I mean look at this sub and s/gendercritical - so many normally liberal posters are feeling politically homeless because of the Democratic party's slavish devotion to Trans, Inc., over gay rights and women's rights. The Democratic party has betrayed gays and women, their backbone, especially in terms of volunteers, in favor of the DEMANDS of the tiny % of the population who are trans activists.

That's because the Democrats are all about the $$$ of Trans, Inc., but I don't know how the election is going to pan out if the Dems lose the votes of a sizable amount of women and gays?

At my core I'm a (based on their policies from what is years ago now) a Labour voter (if an election was called next month I'm not sure who I'd vote for but I can't hold my nose and vote for my specific Labour MP again) but it is really, really grating on me how groups of people are expected to vote as a monolith.

This particular reply really brings it home. Actually being gay isn't what matters, being a liberal is what matters apparently.
