People like these assholes on r/LGBT are often a big part of the reason why support for LGB rights is slowly going down in America, and why countries like Poland and Russia won't be getting civil partnerships, let alone gay marriage, within the next 10-20 years. Transgenders are not the reason why I can get married here in Ireland or in Spain, or have a civil partnership in Italy or in Greece. Gay and bisexual people fighting for our rights, and straight people supporting us is why we have these rights.

Good on r/AskGayBros for not bending the knee to the T. By the way, you don't have to be right wing, left wing, or centre to oppose this madness.

I had the same thought. Nobody feels the need to prove they aren't an incel to strangers on the internet except people who are insecure about being an incel. The majority of straight people I know are chill with LGB.* The majority of that majority also has a lot of reservations about TQ. So, yes, I do think straights will continue to accept us if we drop the T. Actually, I think more straight people will be inclined to accept LGB people without the TQ nonsense. More importantly, regardless of how the straights feel, why would we associate ourselves with people who don’t respect our rights or boundaries?
