But has Ian McKellen overcome his genital fetish and examined his cis gay privilege?

<"The problems that transgender people have with the law are not dissimilar from what used to be the case for us, so I think we should all be allies really.

"But you say that and the wrath of God comes down on you from certain quarters.">

Problems with the law? T seem to be rewriting the law. Police cracking down on people who say "mean things" online, for example. Gay men got arrested in men's toilets. TWAW don't get arrested in the women's toilets. In fact, more likely they'd arrest the women for kicking up a fuss. I suspect Gandalf is just too old, rich, and out of touch to have even heard of AGP or J. Yaniv.

Is LGB drop the T those "certain quarters"? Billionaires are funding the TRA but the fledgling LGB Alliance is the "wrath of God"? You break my heart, Gandalf.

How are our "problems with the law" even similar anyway? People who just want to be able to date/marry the same sex and be left alone vs. people who require everyone around them to engage with and validate their fantasy of being the opposite sex 24/7? Yeah so similar man.

Don't you get it, they're both included in the rainbow initials

Unrelated to your comment but I've seen you do this a few times - to quote, you need to use the > symbol, not <.

Like this.

Oh! I've wondered how other people were doing that! So if I put > backward it does the line? Thanks!

To "straight" transgender people, sure. "Gay" transgender men, though? Transbians? I don't think so.

Agreed, and besides, the "straight" transgender people are actually gay anyway.

I’m not an ally to "straight" transgenders either. I do not support people who change their genders because of internalised homophobia.

I agree. No matter how you look at it, transgenderism is poison.

McKellen said he was "so happy" for old X-Men costar Elliot Page after he came out as trans in December 2020.

I still do not understand, what exactly is there to be so happy about? It's not the same as a gay person coming out. These people are saying they're incredibly unhappy with their bodies and their sex and want to be anyone else but themselves. How is that something to celebrate??

Sorry Ian, I like you, but I’m not going to do that. Not only because I oppose transgenderism, but also because I’m fed up with the expectation that I support transgender people just because I’m gay. Furthermore, I’m not queer. Just gay.

Yeah fuck right off mate. I side eye him anyway considering some of the pics he's in with that creepy director of X-Men.

I have long argued that people pay too much attention to the opinions of actors. Actors know how to act. That doesn't make them experts on other things.

You could shove whatever you want under that umbrella and call on the gays to defend it. Why aren't there any rules for entry if there are so many benefits to being added?

Usually, clubs that offer such benefits as an army of gays, lesbians, and bisexuals would require some kind of rules for entry or at least a fee

No. I don't care what celebrities say or actually blame him--he's out of touch with what's going on and would be crucified if he said anything different.

I lost respect for this man when he outed Lee Pace as gay (he's bisexual, but nevertheless). Just because you're comfortable with your sexuality doesn't mean others are too. Same goes for supporting trans rights. Just because you feel that way, doesn't mean all LGB people should, especially considering what the trans community have done and continue to do to us.

I wonder if he's a shill or if he really believes that crock.
