Can't believe we're in a world where trans activists act like they're oppressed while also having the power to do things like this. They aren't oppressed, they're just whiny.

GoFundMe took down the fundraiser for Vancouver Rape Relief and all the money raised by the GoFundMe will not be going to the shelter now. Absolute Bullshit.

It will not?? Then where is it going?? Returned to people who tried to donate? WTF

edit: If you have receipts/proof of this, we should be sharing those, I think a lot of people aren't aware.

My paypal receipt came with a donation tracker link. It is currently sitting at 'delivery pending'. I'm keeping an eye on it. It looks like because I used PayPal my donation is being handled by PayPal giving Fund Canada instead of gofundme.

This whole thing has pissed me off, I won't be using gofundme for anything again I don't think. Hopefully the people who paid directly either get their donation back or have it go to the right place.

I matched my donation from the GFM campaign and, should my GFM donation get refunded, I will take the refund and donate that directly too. I hope the campaign gets reinstated on appeal, but VRR will get double my original amount no matter what happens.

Just read about what has happened and about the Shelter’s commitment to protect women against these violent creeps. Have donated.
