If sexual orientation is based on gender and these are men attracted to a non-binary, how would that make them gay?

I think they use that when they're more man/woman aligned, but that defeats the purpose of being non-binary in the first place. It's like someone jumping between that point where five states supposedly meet in the US "I'm a man, now I'm a lady, now I'm both, now I'm neither while in the air"

The one that does my head in the most is nonbinary transwomen. Like you are voluntarily becoming a medical patient for life to go from being a man to a "woman" yet you think you are nonbinary. Being trans is like the most binary thing ever.

Also, I find it funny that her logic led her to that conclusion rather than, “huh, I guess I can’t identify my way out of being harassed and assaulted by strange men; how strange that being non-binary didn’t stop those men from identifying me as female and treating me as such! Many of us could have been indoctrinated as children for our gender non-conformity. I know I always was an outcast among male classmates, a cultist could've used that against my developing mind and blinded me for years to come. That one important thing to note about many cults: Their members are victims. They've been brainwashed, indoctrinated through emotional manipulation, threatened in some cases. We do need to stop them and this by no means an excuse, but it is important to remember. They do deserve some sympathy for the situation they were in that made them vulnerable and that someone took advantage of them and violated their thoughts while they were weakened.
