I hate this "we". There is no "we". There is no "LGBTQIA+ community". There is no collective, greater, or whole. There are homosexual, bisexual and transgender males and females, but there is no "we". There is no centralised community that people can turn to. There is nothing that I inherently have in common with any other homosexual person, other than being homosexual. And that person may (read: probably will) have a completely different experience growing up and a completely different relationship with their sexuality. No-one signed up to be anything. No contracts, no phone calls, no applications, nothing. There are L communities, T communities, LGB communities, LGBTQIA+ communities, but there is no such thing as THE LGBTQIA+ community. Rant over.
