Hey Chunkee, rule 4 ... you can repost if you change the title to not include "mutilate"

More fundamentally, I no longer believe that transgender is any real phenomenon. Sure, there are effeminate gay men who are uncomfortable with their sexual orientation, there are AGP fetishists, girls traumatized by CSA, girls with BPD, and butch women who are pressured by gender norms and succumb to peer pressure. None of these conditions require medical transition. Sorry, I just don't believe in it anymore.

While there are definitley some genuine ones, I agree that the vast majority of the T's who have come crawling out of the woodwork fall into the categories you mentioned. Social media has so much to do with this. Having some "identity" to give meaning to your life has become an end in and of itself. What amazes me is that it takes over their whole lives. It used to be that people who obsessed over one aspect of themselves would be told "there's more to life than..." since we now live in clown world, they are told that it is AMAAAAYYYYZING and thus continue the obsession to the exclusion of most other things.

Every constituent element of our entire society is locked and loaded to affirm a cis person in their gender

There is really no polite way to say this. Everyone sees people for what sex they are, regardless of how they dress or feel. It doesn’t matter if I put on a dress and heels or a button-down and oxfords. When I go out in the world, everyone recognizes me as a woman and calls me as such. There’s no “affirmation” happening. People are just calling it as they see it.

What trans people don’t get is that no one looks at a transwoman and thinks, “that’s a woman.” Everyone knows he’s a man and is just politely tiptoeing around the issue because they know he’s a head case and don’t want to be accused of “bigotry.” The same goes for transmen and non-binary people. No one is “affirming” gender. They’re merely accommodating mental illness out a sense of social niceness.
