How many of us can really say we're our "true selves©" at work? Anyone? If I were my true self at work I'd be telling everyone to fuck off and stop making my job any harder than it needs to be.

"I can't be my non-binary fluffykin self in the office". Ok, so? I can't be the raging arsehole I want to be over someone not giving me the information I need to actually answer their query. It's called creating a professional atmosphere

Nothing says being your true self like lying about who you are, taking synthetic hormones to change your body, and getting a bunch of cosmetic surgery.

My true self at work sometimes involves telling a boss to STFU and let me finish a task but i imagine that won't go over too well.

I can't be myself at work (be open about not believing in gender identity) because I might get fired, reported to HR, or otherwise damage my working relationships. Why? Because not believing in gender identity-- a concept that relies purely on faith alone, by definition-- is called "transphobic." Call me "Christianphobic," too, while you're at it.

The Thought Police are still technically police, I guess...
