I struggle with anxiety and can think of few things as mortifying as making it my identity and/or trying to pretend that it’s the same thing as being a lesbian. I’m embarrassed for this person.

Oh God, yeah, anxiety has been my nightmare since I was a kid, but surely it isn't an identity. It's an illness, a very disabling one, born from neuroticism. Real people with mental health diseases, usually don't go around screaming about it in pride.

I bet this person is "self-diagnosed"... which is not a real or legitimate form of diagnosis. So they're doubly colonizing invisible minority groups: people with neurodevelopmental disorders AND people who are LGB. Awesome.
