I'm surprised that this subreddit isn't banned yet. It's a bunch of men and women who regretted transition, you know who TRAs hate more than gender-critical people? Detransitioned people.

They can't ban the sub, it would give the game away too blatantly. Instead TRAs spend their time and energy discrediting detransitioners and distancing them from the community of "true trans (believers)"

Makes sense.

Yeah, they will just say detrans were never really trans to begin with, their reasons for transition were due to mental disorder, emotional hangups, and paraphelias, and how true trans have none of those icky things and they knew they were trans the second they were born.

Wow. Sad & unfortunate that detransitioners go through this, but the cynic in me also believe that a few of these tales could be "terfs" or "bigots" trying to warn others? I do believe the majority are real, because we know detrans individuals have come out & spoke how they made a terrible mistake.

Can't they be both? Detransitioners are labelled as terfs and bigots just for leaving the cult and expressing regret at what they've done to their bodies.

Having listened to her voice, I think there'll be a happy ending for her. It's only deepened slightly, it's just her vocal chords are all f-ed up from the shift in hormones so at least as of right now she can't hit the notes she used to able to.

I had a surgery very close to my vocal chords and one of them got slightly knicked, it took a few months but my voice bounced back. For a moment there after the surgery sometimes my voice would sporadically dip into the range of a gruff male cowboy, and I'm a soprano. Vocal chords are nuts but very resilient.

I think this one will probably recover physically. But think of all those who crossed the Rubicon into irreversibility and consequently given up. And their statistics don't become trans statistics. Or even if they do, it's portrayed like discrimination against trans people lead to their deaths, and not like they became hopeless because medical transition so thoroughly harmed their bodies and a chance of a normal life.
