Martine Rothblatt — a billionaire entrepreneur who built a robot version of her wife — told attendees, “If we don’t join with the current gay, lesbian, and other queer rights issues being proposed, then we might have to wait another 20 years for our own liberation.”

That quote is from 1994. TQ+ takeover has been going on for almost 30 years. Damn.

Maybe even earlier.

I've never read that article ... deserves a post of it's own!

It's insightful.. and dismaying. There's a paragraph about an incident.. The article skips the implications(agp), but one doesn't just wear someone else's underwear without there being something sexual behind it.

Thanks for sharing, I'll take a read as soon as I've summoned enough brain cells to do so.

It's disappointing but unsurprising that the TQ+ disruption of LGB rights and spaces has been going on for decades.

“It has like six additional colors that represent the transgender and nonbinary community,” Elia enthused. “They had gay Pride outside my house, and I was watching everybody . . . waving it around . . . And then I saw some people with the old gay flag. Is that, like, the gay confederacy,” Elia asked. “What if there’s a gay civil war?”

The Confederate flag was a new flag at the time of the American civil war. The old gay flag is more like one of the striped Union flags.

Also; Thanks, Seattle...

Thanks for sharing. This article actually does a pretty decent job of summarizing what's been going on... it's nice to see that, because it seems to me like whenever a pro-LGB viewpoint does hit a mainstream media outlet, it only includes information about one facet of trans homophobia or a couple of isolated anti-LGB/anti-women incidents.
