This came on the radio yesterday, like it has pretty much everyday for almost 20 years, but I got an unusually strong hit of 90's nostalgia from it. I remembered hearing it for the first time at an H&M records store while on vacation in downtown Chicago, playing over the PA. I realized I knew almost all the words, but had never really payed any attention to them at all.

I liked this comment from the youtube page: "One day this will be the video everyone watches to see what a mall used to look like."

I realized I knew almost all the words, but had never really payed any attention to them at all.

Heh it's funny how many songs are like that. If you think about it, lyrics are kind of a way to subconsciously "inception" a series of messages in to an audience without them consciously realizing it... Here perhaps for good, but it's interesting how many words the hundreds of millions have memorized, without totally stopping to grasp what we've memorized. Just because that's what is often playing on the radio.

I'm on a 90s music kick today, I think this is the best of the bunch. Powerful lyrics.

Wow somehow I have never seen this music video. Capturing the lady in the suit and making her serve mall food is pretty epic.
