What if reincarnation actually goes backwards in time?

Say reincarnation is real, what if it actually works backwards and when you die, you are reborn in a previous generation? What if our ancestors are our future selves?

Lets say reincarnation is real, but if you realize that you are reicarnated then you can never reincarnate again

how can this work if there are four or sometimes even five generations living under the same roof at the same time?
