People go to a rap concert and are surprised things get violent

Is this a shocker? I went to a concert recently by a boomer era rock band, the crowd was mostly old. Still, there were several thousand there and if we all decided to go nuts and rush to the front of the stage there'd be little the few security guards there could do. Of course that didn't happen and why would it. People were calm and cheered a little but mostly just enjoyed the music. I would never go to a rap concert though. They rap about violence so why be shocked violence happens there?

I'd say rap concerts are usually safer because we all know black people are too tight to buy drinks.

    travis scott had a history of inciting the crowd and telling them to rush the stage, probably thinking it was badass and edgy to do so.

    This reminds me of one of my favorite live recordings by the grateful dead, 5-8-77, at one point bob weird talks to the crowd and says "let's play everyone's favorite game take a step back, take a step back, and take another step back" Apparently people in the front were starting to get crushed, but the crowd did take enough steps back apparently in order to not cause mass casualties. If Travis cared he could have done such a thing and tried to get the crowd to step back rather than rapping violent lyrics while people died.

    We had problems at ... I think it was a Dio concert, the crowd kept pushing forward. My buddy and I had to hold the railing and try to push back against them. We were trying to keep a couple cute girls from being squished. Although there's not a lot you can do against the weight of a crowd.

    Herds of people are just dangerous when they stampede.

    There has never been one this deadly. There is more that happened there than what the media is telling you. 8 people absolutely did not die from pushing.

    I heard a report that a security guard got injected in the neck when he was trying to detain someone. He passed out while being checked by paramedics and they used Narcan to revive him.
