Not sure if this is the right place for this, but this is a Matrix chatroom dedicated to The Great Boycott project:

Basically it's a place to brainstorm companies to boycott and better alternatives. With more and more companies getting onboard with censorship and supporting radical propaganda, boycotting them has become essential to counter these narratives.

You don't need to. But I've made a ton of these threads, and what inevitably happens is that people drift out of contact. I feel like a lot of people get excited about a boycott, upvote the thread, leave a comment or two, and then forget about it. You can't run an effective boycott that way.

The chatroom is a way to keep people involved and connected, even across platforms. For example, I've posted this thread on Ruqqus as well. Normally SaidIt and Ruqqus are totally separate communities, but a chatroom can bring them together for an important project like this.

The chatroom is based on the open-source Matrix protocol btw, using the Riot client, both of which are very popular and respectful of user privacy.
