Wait what? Why does America let non-citizens vote? The duty of a citizen is to vote. Non-citizens arent even members of your country.

this says that the georgia consitutiton says only citizens are entitled to vote. The change would instead say only citizens can vote. I'm not sure the difference.

State law already limits voting to citizens

A resolution introduced Monday would make the state’s ban on voting by noncitizens part of the Georgia Constitution.

TLDR They're making it harder for a future temporary Democrat legislature to ram through state voting rights for illegals, which Democrats have done elsewhere. Once it's in the state constitution, it'll need a super-majority and or maybe a state-wide referendum to undo. Even with Democrat's monopolization of the media, good luck brainwashing Americans to think they need to let non-Americans elect their representatives.

Federal law doesn't allow noncitizens to vote, but states and local municipalities can still allow noncitizens to vote in local elections. San Fran and New York City have already allowed illegals to vote.

I cant believe that this what America has come to. I cant believe that people think democracy is the vote of everyone even if they are not citizens. Citizenship is what makes America great

I wish any out of state blue lefties would be banned from voting wrong for 12 years after they move here.

There's not any wrong way to vote. Voting is based on each individual's preferences.

People ruin their states then flee en masse to ours and continue voting to recreate the problem. It's a problem in some places here in Texas. It's like a rot that spreads. I'm not sure extending the time it takes to be considered a permanent resident with voting rights would be a bad thing.

Disgusting. Diversity is our strength.

Why the hell are we even having this conversation?

Don't get me wrong I love what Georgia is doing, but I just can't fathom that we've fallen so far that we'd let the left even try this shit.

The left isn't just trying it. They're doing it. They're already allowing illegals to vote in New York City and other lefty strongholds.

Georgia's rightly working to head them off. Every state should be doing the same. Otherwise Democrats will literally just import illegals into their states until they turn blue, and then do whatever they want.

That's why Joe Biden and Obama turned from "enforce immigration and border controls" in 2008 to "border enforcement isn't a huge deal, amnesty for everyone" by 2020. They realized Democrats could get more political power at the local level by marketing themselves to non-Americans, flip the local city councils, and leverage that to gain control of the rest of the state.

It's not the vote that matters. It's who counts the vote that matters. Once they control large urban areas, those cities often account for 50% of a states entire federal vote. Democrats can play tricks like stopping Republican poll watchers from observing the tabulation. That's super illegal, but by the time Republicans complain and win in court, the election's long over, and the judge might not think overturning a single local vote count is worth the political backlash, even if it's a big share of votes.

This shit is disgusting!! Its treason!

Lawmakers in New York City have approved legislation that will allow about 800,000 legal non-citizens to vote in local elections. The decision centered on one big question - who exactly should have a stake in American democracy? I talked with Ron Hayduk about this. He's a political science professor at San Francisco State University and the author of "Democracy For All: Restoring Immigrant Voting Rights In The United States."

Who exactly should have a stake in American democracy?

AMERICANS

Its in the name
