What ever happened with it? As far as I know no one ever really questioned its veracity, only "muh confidentiality" or "muh editing" or whatever. The story ended up being ZOMG DRUMPF STOLE A DIARY when it really should have been about Joe's sexual proclivities.

Even though most who obtained it (Project Veritas) didn't trust it to be authentic, causing it to mostly not be published, the FBI attacking those who obtained it seems to show otherwise. Then the New York Times pretty overtly verify it as being authentic, also.

It had concerning suggestions of being molested and taking showers with her dad, asserting she thought that was inappropriate.

..so I think you are right, that only well established damage control campaign with a solid role villain to point to, could distract from such a concerning finding.

The media buried it "fact checkers" claimed it was "fake" when everyone with intelligence and a brain knows Joe and his crackhead son are pedophiles.
