Red pill comes from The Matrix, when Morpheus offers Neo the red or the blue pill. Red pilling someone was originally waking them up to the deceptions of our reality. I haven't studied incel subculture, but I don't think it's fair to categorize someone as an extremist just because a group has adopted a piece of terminology.

Anyways 'extremist' is a loaded term of it's own, who defines what is 'extreme'? The beliefs and actions of the American Founding Fathers are considered extreme by many people today. Conversely, they would consider the attacks on our freedoms and erosion of The Constitution and Bill of Rights to be extreme.

Yeah, funny thing about that, I knew about the red pill long before I ever heard the term "incel." And when I did see people start to link the term to incels, I noticed that a lot of the people pushing that connection the hardest were the ones who gladly slapped labels like "Nazi," "fascist," and (amusingly enough) "incel" onto to anyone who didn't share their own progressive ideology.

So I'm inclined to take any claims of extremist ties with the same grain of salt that I reserve for claims of coding and dogwhistling; just the usual motherfuckers who (almost daily) demonstrate their obsessive need to manipulate and control language doing more of the same.

Those words are uses by people who aren't extreme in any rational sense. Using labels attached to words is ignorant, and most likely intentionally dishonest. The FBI has become an extremist group targeting white people for slander and subversion, in particular those white people who don't participate in the anti white rhetoric and subversion of the establishment and media.
