"Fuckin' magnets, how do they work?" asked the former President. "And I don't wanna talk to a scientist; y'all muthafuckers lyin', and gettin' me pissed," he added.

magnet's don't work underwater

That's not what he said.

Whether he meant that magnet's stop working when struck, rearranging electron flow was what he was talking about isn't clear, but making the assumption of OP's title isn't warranted either.

The assertion in your headline is silly at best, comrade! Rallys are usually not underwater, so why would magnets work underwater at a rally?

[–]Hematomato 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (3 children)

I have held all of my rallies underwater! Most of my constituents are dead, but that's okay.

How are the magnets?

[–]Hematomato 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

I think you'll have to talk to a scientist.

I've got a guy...

He's lost all the clues he had, if any.

He reckons that the Continental Army 'Took Over The Airports' In The Revolutionary War.

There are more examples of Trump's narcissistic senility than we can shake a stick at.

He was criticizing a decision by the Navy to use giant magnets to lift elevators by plane onto an aircraft carrier (floating on the water) — instead of using equipment from Midwestern company John Deere.

I have no idea what equipment this is referring to, or how it works or does not work in this vague ill defined instance.

Wait - magnets work under water?

Fucking scientists and their dumb claims.

All I know about magnets is this, give me a glass of water, let me drop it on the magnets, that’s the end of the magnets,' Trump declared.

His statement is 100% correct. He's not picking up any wet magnets.

[–]Hematomato 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

DONALD TRUMP

HE'S NOT PICKING UP

ANY WET MAGNETS

[–]turtlew0rk 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Agreed

[–]RR_2023 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

And Biden's answer?

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Bidens busy taking his 5th nap of the morning before he wakes up and gets debriefed on being the president for the 786th time since being elected.

[–]MagicMike 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

He’s got a magnetic personality though.

🧲

[–]fschmidt 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

But he loses his magnetism underwater.

Still voting Turnip.

[–]no_u 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (7 children)

Yep - he's certainly got the moron votes.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

If half the voters are morons for voting for Trump, and the other half morons for voting for Biden, what exactly are you saying about the population as a whole? 😄

[–]Karce33 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

The United States is filled up 100% with dumb cunts

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Or 80% of votes are fraudulent on both sides

[–]no_u 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

A large portion of Trump's base are - famously - obvious morons.

Other portions of the voters will have a number of other reasons to vote for him, per the Pew polls &c. For some it's a matter of holding their noses and voting, for others it's been about restricting women's rights, for others it's just the straight GOP ticket, or the church told them do do it in order to fill the supreme court with GOP shills, or the false assumption that they'd face higher taxes if Dems were in office, or many other reasons. Many of his supporters are 'boomers' who happen to be selfish twats who want to kill off Social Security and healthcare, education, envoronmental protection, human rights legislation, and much more because they've enjoyed it for years and now: fuck the next generation. No, voters for Biden aren't necessarily by morons.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

All of your statements are demonstrably false, and not worth my time responding to. You should be ashamed of yourself.

[–]socks-the-nigger 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Mm

[–]no_u 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You can look it up, rather than bother me about it. These are common points about voter demographics. You should be ashamed of your response. Don't respond to me again.

[–]Zapped 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Well, with what he was talking about, they would have to be electromagnets. In that case, he would be correct. However, I would assume that the other method they would use to lift equipment would also need electricity and be inside the hull of a ship and kept dry, it shouldn't matter which method they use.

[–]ActuallyNot 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Well, with what he was talking about, they would have to be electromagnets. In that case, he would be correct.

Only for wrong meanings of "correct". Electromagnets work fine underwater. The magnetic field doesn't propagate as far as it would in air, same as a permanent magnet.

I think you are my personal assistant here, aren't you?
