I went to this trashy strip club with a friend once and this stripper did her dance routine right in front of me while making intense eye contact. I had been to quite a few nudie bars by then but this was on another level. My friend suggested I get a lap dance with her since it was my birthday and I heartily obliged. Well, she gave me four or five songs worth and we ended up talking about fifteen minutes. Turns out she's sixteen and ran away from home and is being managed by some black dude in the back of the bar who collects most of her income. Sad.

It's the grim reality of so-called 'sex work'. There is nothing liberating about it, and it's not any kind of normal job. It's where broken people go to work, cheered on by feminists and other degenerates.

Not only that, but most of them have learned that sex is their worth, or their value to trade out for money or relationships.

I prefer not to have anyone in my life who knows someone who knows someone who associates with such a person. Even that might not be enough distance.

"Racism" is nothing more than an evolutionary mechanism that worked really well at keeping people alive for thousands of years.

It pisses me off that liberals will beat the drum for evolution only as long as it fucks Christians over. The second they realize what "survival of the fittest" actually means they get all butthurt and start yelling.

[–]Trajan 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Yeah. It was and remains advantageous for us to have a deeply wired sense of 'my tribe' or 'my people'. We are a social and tribal species. While there is flexibility as to who 'my people' are, this only works in small numbers. When migration is large-scale, both the original population and the new tribe retreat into their respective tribes. This is why some towns in the UK are almost entirely non-British. With a shared worldview the tribes can be united, but that's not going to happen when multiculturalism explicitly preserves the differences. Multiculturalism stands in opposition to assimilation or integration. It celebrates the differences, particularly from the perspective of migrant populations.

The multicultural project was doomed to fail. Social scientists have been observing the issue and attempting solutions for well over 50 years, with little to show. We are wired this way.

[–]IridescentAnaconda 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

This is a good way to put it. I'm relatively open to racial integration as long as the goal is (relative) cultural homogeneity. This worked well in the U.S. for European descendants: while white people in the U.S. do still respect subtle differences between (say) Italians and Irish, there is not really much meaningful difference between European-descended Americans beyond a kind of memory or respect for ancestral distinctions. Even Latinos and Asians who assimilate are able to contribute to a larger sense of united tribe/nationality. But this doesn't work when open hostility against "white" culture is promoted and people are incentivized to retain cultural practices that are radically at odds with the majority.

[–]Trajan 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yep. A common sense of being a citizen of the greatest country in history helped create the sense of belonging. Unfortunately the post modernist bandits have been working hard to demoralise America.

"Racism" is nothing more than an evolutionary mechanism that worked really well at keeping people alive for thousands of years.

IMO it's even more then that. Loving your race and promoting it is a spiritual exercise. If you simply define race as a survival mechanism then the left and control opposition right can pilpul you out of it. For instance why do you need race in the post industrial age that allow goods and services to flow to freely across borders and ethnic groups? In a materialist egalitarian world racism is only going to keep you from trading with and learning from other tribes. Don't you want to improve your genetic material by looking for a mate all over the world instead of of your small town? Don't you want to learn how to be respectful of all groups so your boss will promote you at your globo homo company and you can make more money for you and your family? (I'm playing devils advocate of course)

I hope she'll learn that popular astrology is no longer based on where the planets are located, and remains of course only a social construct or superstition (and difficult to avoid), much like racism, which is also merely a social construct, with no other significance.

I hope you've talked with her about going to college or a trade school and to stop putting herself in shitty situations for which there is no reasonable future, especially for her kid

In my view, the father should have asked to marry her long ago, and if he hasn't done this, he's worthless, which is perhaps the point I would have made to her, and she'd be mad at me, and I've have to apologize and talk about college, adopiton, &c, which of course would be doubly annoying to her, but that in my view is a compassionate response to her situation

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Long time, no see, Larry

One of the problems is that we're all somewhat 'mixed', dating back to the seven daughters of Eve, or beginning of time &c. A consistent argument at /s/debatealtright/ is that none of this matters because the people who look "white" (or white enough?) are the master race that should rule everyone. (For example, I know someone in India with a British grandmother, who is whiter than many white folks, but she's otherwise completely South Asian. This white supremacist problem is an old colonial eugenic idea that was as illogical then as it is now. That idea is also a social construct, and is not reflected in much of nature or society. One can look at the expectations of conservative Jews in order to see ways in which they try not to taint their blood with that of goyim. But this ethnocentrism again leads to other problems for them, and is one reason conservative Jews have been hated for millennia by goyim. Regardless of whatever breeding strategies they want to use to preserve their ethnicities, the conservatives have consistently reinforced their religious and social expectations to avoid goyim, not to marry them, not to hire them for jobs, not to live near them, not to eat their food, &c. This is one reason Jews have been seen as parasites by non-Jews. There are also conservative Pakistanis who will "honour kill" their daughters if they don't marry the approved Pakistani arranged man, though they're very much in the minority of Pakistanis in general. White supremacists will face similar criticisms for not integrating in society, committing hate crimes &c. The main problem here is not so much the social construct of 'race', but the extremist view that the "other" should be treated like pigs.

It was oddly enough the second time astrology was brought up yesterday.

much like racism, which is also merely a social construct, with no other significance.

People didn't just make stuff up to be hurtful or shitty, there's a reason it exists unfortunately. It's easier to ignore when you're isolated from it. I don't stripper girl has the choice to be color blind when the high % this dude is going to bail is absolutely something she has to keep in mind.

I hope you've talked with her about going to college or a trade school and to stop putting herself in shitty situations for which there is no reasonable future, especially for her kid

She's mentally ill, homeless, and a high school drop out whose family wants nothing to do with her. She's been institutionalized a number of times. Her best bet is probably finding someone who will take care of her.

In my view, the father should have asked to marry her long ago, and if he hasn't done this, he's worthless,

That's a very good point. He doesn't seem serious about her and the kid otherwise. Pregnant women are especially emotional though, the bane of logic. She'd probably get upset at anything I suggested.

a compassionate response to her situation

I've met enough of these kind of women now that I just want them as far away as possible. It's better not to get drawn in. I know that sounds awful but they just end up taking advantage.

[–]send_nasty_stuff 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I just want them as far away as possible.

That's the safest policy and when you do have to interact with them you should be courteous but distant. If you a person of any type of value they will attempt to exploit you or latch onto you and wait for a good opportunity to exploit you. They are toxic succubus type people and I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. Only Christ and the natural machinations of mother nature should engage these folk.

Sure race is real. Crime scene investigators can identify the race of black victims of white hate crimes from X-rays alone. This comes in handy in a racist nation like America, where tens of thousands of unarmed black males are murdered by police and right wing death squads every year.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (19 children)

I agree it's real, as real as other artificial notions that make up societies.

[–]Chipit 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (17 children)

You can literally tell people's race from a biological examination, without the skin or melanin or anything else. Why do you deny science?

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (16 children)

That's a 19th century Eugenics assumption. There were journals and academic studies devoted to it. It's called "scientific racism." Scientists (among others) refuted these approaches in the early 20th century, as they are not accurate scientific approaches. There is no scientific way to determine the existence of biogenetically distinct races, especially because almost everyone is somewhat "mixed", and thus will not fit appropriately within biogenetically distinct race categories.

Genetic studies in the late 20th century refuted the existence of biogenetically distinct races, and scholars now argue that “races” are cultural interventions reflecting specific attitudes and beliefs that were imposed on different populations in the wake of western European conquests beginning in the 15th century. source

[–]Chipit 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (14 children)

There is no scientific way to determine the existence of biogenetically distinct races

The US government disagrees! If you're black, you get treated favorably. This is enshrined in federal law, and denying it is a hate crime.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (13 children)

If you're black, you get treated favorably.

In some job searches, yes.

At traffic stops, no.

When one applies for a job, there is often a human resources questionnaire on which one has to select 'race' (or opt out of the selection), somtimes with 10 or 15 races to select, with several kinds of white, several kinds of asian, several kinds of mixed &c. It's really annoying, and in place so that the administrative bean counters can justify their hiring practices. In my view it's nuts. Sometimes I am racist, but I don't like racism. It's not really measured in intentions. It's measured in outcomes, micro-aggressions &c. As much as I am prejudiced against several kinds of people, I try to make the outcomes of my approaches not show it.

[–]Chipit 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (8 children)

So now poof, magically race exists. You just said it didn't. You're arguing against yourself - and losing.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

No, Chipit. Are you trolling? (I kindly responded with evidence. Should I not respond to you in the future?)

The discussion is about Race as a social construct and that 'race' is NOT scientifically verifiable for reasons I noted elsewhere in the discussion. Thus 'race' is "real", if that's your concern, but only "real" in terms of our personal assumptions about it, not because there is a scientific process for determining race (mainly because we're all somewhat mixed). If this is not clear in my comments, please have another look.

[–]send_nasty_stuff 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Let's go with your logic that race is a social construct. Let's also go with your next logic that we need to force ourselves to see race because we have to counter whites being racist to blacks.

If societal 'racism' is as bad as you think it is don't you run the risk that after we persecute 'whites' for their systemic racism towards black we never stop persecuting them? Even after all stolen goods and historical malice has been 'restored'. How do I know that you and your 'anti racist' Bolsheviks are going to stop seeing race? Exactly at what point are whites done paying back blacks and other racial groups? What point does your militant commune of anti racist allies stop seeing whites as a race and flip back to this 'race blind' society that you claim is the real goal?

[–]send_nasty_stuff 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)
