Permabanned from /r/asklesbians for pointing out that both gay men and lesbians can be repulsed by genetalia of the opposite sex, but lesbians get banned for doing it. Granted, I probably shouldn't have commented there at all, but the question was about gay men too...

Well, r/asklesbians is filled with men who are trans-identified anyway, so I think it was probably too late for any reasonable gatekeeping there haha. And the question was about gay men, as you said.

It’s kind of embarrassing, because it seems my IQ has dropped 20 points, but I found myself watching 90 Day Fiancé like a crack addict. Then I joined the r/90dayfiance sub, and saw a really disturbing pattern. About 1x per week, there’s a post comparing unattractive men to lesbians. I went partially through the history of the sub and found 8 instances of this until I got bored. I had commented on a few of the posts saying it was insulting and homophobic. Got downvoted all to hell by people telling me to get a sense of humor. Last week, after seeing another post, I messaged the mods and told them how I felt, very calmly telling them that if this were any other group that experienced bigotry, it wouldn’t be allowed. Again, they said, but it’s FUNNY! So I replied saying, what if I said so and so’s character looked like a trans man. They replied, oh I see what you are, a TERF! I said, no, I’m just pointing out the hypocrisy. I was them immediately permanently banned.

Pointing out hypocrisy seems like it might be a reliable method. <Makes a note.>

Reddit itself sent me a warning about hate speech yesterday for a comment on a thread from 2 weeks ago for telling a TRA to "go back to /r/lgbt fairytale land"

The same thread made rounds on the subreddit drama forums so it got a lot of TRA attention with the report button

Finally banned from 2xchromosomes but I didn’t bother to check why. Also been banned from r/movies lol

I have nothing to report. Clearly I need to get cracking.

DISCLAIMER: if you are against the trans lobby, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT ever buy the crappy, mediocre indie title "Them's Fightin' Herds". The developer just called me transphobic and permabanned me just for politely telling people in the channel (who were writing insults towards Rowling) that I personally think she's a good person.

I was the only real woman in the channel. Now it's the sausage fest of men and men-calling-themselves-women they wanted it to be. I should not be surprised because I could feel the tension whenever I wrote anything in that channel just because I have an actual vagina. Why was I expecting anything else from a brony community?
