I enjoyed where someone said he should’ve married a transman if he wanted biological kids and Benjamin had the gall to act offended. The guy runs a website that tells LGB to bone trans people or we’re bigoted monsters. But it’s offensive if someone says the same to him?

Yeah, what even was that? I was surprised that upset him. I thought they were pro-trans. Super hypocritical. I guess it's all just virtue signaling?

“Rules for thee, but not for me,” I suppose. TQ is already cannibalizing him in the replies, so place bets now on how long we’ve got until the mea culpa.

Time to break out the popcorn!

I think a couple hours at max. If he waits more than 24 hours, they'll try to get him fired.

His husband is a doctor who was on the board of Mermaids until people pointed out the obvious conflict of interest. Trans people are a money-spinner to them.

Why am I not surprised? Pinknews is extremely pro-TQ.

Doctors on the board of Mermaids should have their licences revoked. And gay people who support organisations like Mermaids are traitors who should be shamed and shunned by the gay community.

This tweet has some interesting discussions under it. Gotta admit it's amusing to see the people who are such big defenders of TQ+ in detriment of LGB being accused of transphobia.

So... they essentially think that trans men with wombs should be baby carrying machines for cis gay men.

Also the idea they have that all trans men somehow want to have a baby, or have a vagina or a womb still. And that cis women shouldn't be "incubators", but apparently that's ok for trans men. Bit rapey that.

No, guys. The people you're talking about see no distinction between trans men and cis women. The message is "you wouldn't need a surrogate if you practiced what you preached." Which I believe is true. No, not all trans men are fertile. But some are. And presumably, some of them would like to be parents. So what's the problem? I mean, the Pink News article practically writes itself at this point.

I mean, which one is it? Are surrogate mothers incubators, or does it only become a bad thing when it happens to transmen?

Also casual reminder that nowadays you can't even say "I'm gay so I can't get a child" without someone correcting you with "ACTUALLY you might fall in love with a transman and they can get pregnant". But now suddenly that isn't the case?

    Bit rapey that.

Oh yeah, because cis gay men try all the time to pressure transmen into having sex with us. Not the other way around. /s

    same-sex couples

But... but... sex is a spectrum and a construct! It is "same-gender", you transphobe!! CANCEL HIM

    [–]blackrainbow 20 insightful - 6 fun20 insightful - 5 fun21 insightful - 6 fun -  (0 children)

Here he clearly uses the words "woman" and "mother".

Now that he needs women's womb I guess gender theory is not valid anymore?

So when they want a surrogate, they know exactly who to target. They only acknowledge bio sex when it suits them.

It is indeed a mystery and many people have asked the same thing on Twitter. Benjamin has failed to provide an answer for some reason.

Actually, babies born of surrogacy being denied breast milk is a valid concern, and a valid argument against surrogacy. Yes, some women don’t breastfeed for personal reasons, but a child born to surrogacy cannot be breastfed at all because he or she has no intended mother or the intended mother cannot produce milk due to the fact that she was not pregnant. Breast milk from the birth mother is still the best kind of milk for the child, because of the genetic similarities and because it helps the mother and the baby to bond with each other, among many other advantages. Plus, it’s natural.

I’m all for gay couples adopting a child. I support it. If I was married, and my husband and I were given the opportunity to adopt, I’d be fully on board with adopting the child. But surrogacy? No. I have no intention on having a child through surrogacy. And it’s not just the lack of breast milk for the child that concerns me. There are genetic complications as well. What if the surrogate mother or the egg donor had her own children, and one of these children grew up and began dating one of my children? There will be complications. If the surrogate is the genetic mother, will she want the child? Will she feel bad about giving up her child? Especially considering she gave birth to him? And let’s say the eggs of a different woman were used. How many embryos were implanted into the surrogate mother to maximise chances that she’d get pregnant, and how many embryos died? And what if the intending parents die during the pregnancy, or can’t go through with it because it turns out one of them is a criminal or they’ve fallen into debt, or they decide they just don’t want any children anymore? The surrogate is left with a baby or babies that she had no intention on having. Does she put them all up for adoption? Does she get an abortion? Does she just raise them herself? She never asked for this.

Look, I get it. We all want to have kids who are genetically ours. If I was straight, I’d only date a woman who can get pregnant and wants to have at least three kids. I would be aiming to have four biological kids. In fact, I would encourage straight couples who want to have kids to have as many kids as they can, especially in countries with low birth rates, not that it is any of my business, but I’m here for you if you want my advice. But in a same sex relationship, only one of the parents can be genetically related to the child, not both. And it’s bad enough going through surrogacy once, doing it twice is insane to me. Sure, you can get your sister to get pregnant with your husband's sperm, but imagine your aunt being your mother. This will confuse the resulting child to no end. If you are gay, and you want to have biological children so badly, marry a lesbian who has the same goals, have kids with her, get divorced when the youngest turns 7, split custody and buy two houses that are side-by-side so the kids can jump over the fence. You can actually do that if that’s want you want to do. And if you’re in a country like France, you can just enter a civil solidarity pact with the mother as opposed to marrying her so you will still get rights to the child and avoid the social rituals that come with marriage. Yeah, it’s not ideal, but neither is paying a woman €100,000 to put her life at risk so you can have a child who will never have a relationship with his mother, and will never have any genetic relationship with you or your husband. That’s right. Surrogacy is expensive. In countries that only allow altruistic surrogacy, like the UK or Canada, most couples go to America or Armenia for the procedure, where commercial surrogacy is allowed, because you’re unlikely to find a woman who will do it for free. In Ireland, France, Norway, Spain and Germany, surrogacy is outright banned without exception. And you know what? Good. Besides, not everybody who wants it banned is a radfem, a homophobe or a nihilist. My opposition to it is out of consideration for the child, the surrogate mother and their families.

Benjamin Cohen is just another shallow, greedy jerkass who probably sees children as accessories rather then human beings. And hopefully, he will never have children, because knowing him, he’ll put them on these poisonous hormone blockers so they’d be transgender, and raise them into hating the country and they community they grew up in. That man should never be allowed to have kids. If that man was my father, I’d move out as soon as I have the resources to do so, and never speak to him again.

looking at his feed and his responses I find it very interesting how this woke holier then thou man can't properly address the valid ethical questions regarding surrogacy. It's also hilarious that when it comes to his demand for a child that's the only time he uses the term "woman" or recognizes us a seperate sex class. I'm for surrogacy if it's under the right circumstances, however Ben sees it as a business transaction, purchasing and renting a good from a person. The way he phrases it all is disturbing.
