I'll pull out a couple of my favorite comments, in case anyone doesn't feel like digging.

Comment: Trans youtuber tells a commenter that he gave up male privilege to be a trans woman. Comment response (user THCA):

...You state in your comment to me that trans women give up male privileges, status, etc. But your video here is called "Detransitioning." So, rather than giving up male privilege, trans women seem to me to be voluntarily putting it to the side, to be reclaimed-- if desired-- at a later time..."

And this:

I find it interesting that when biological males talk about being a woman, they seem to focus on apparel, makeup, and manicures. I think if some of these men actually had to deal with the biological reality of being a woman, they might run back to identifying as male.

Or this:

The more I watch these videos the more I'm convinced that being a transgender is a serious mental illness. These are people who will never be happy with who they are. This person was not happy as a man, so he went to all the trouble to get himself operated on and mutilated to turn himself into a woman. Then she wasn't happy with that either, so she tried to go back. Then again he wasn't happy with who he/she was and now wants to go back to being a female. This is absolutely ridiculous. At which point will this person realize that he/she is never going to be happy with who she (he? I lost track now) is unless she admits that there's a very serious psychological problem that surgery or hormone therapy is never going to fix. Go to a psychologist and figure yourself out. Please. And all these these idiots calling out "transphobic!" are part of the problem.

you should see the comments about the jealousy over us having periods..

[–]MezozoicGayoldschool gay 12 insightful - 5 fun12 insightful - 4 fun13 insightful - 5 fun -  (1 child)

Yeah, I've noticed that. And then they are saying it is not a fetish?

Some memes:

Every woman: "I wish I never had periods and this tampon tax is hitting my monthly budget".

Transwomen: "I am so jealous to women for them having periods. Periods are sexy. I want periods too, twice or three times a month!".

Most women: "I am so tired of this male gaze, sexualization and women's problems, I don't want to be a woman".

Transwomen: "I want to be a woman and I am so sexy, I am wearing same make up and costumes as my favourite pornstar, I want men (and women) to gaze at me and masturbate on me!".

but it's not a fetish right? they should just shit/piss themselves when they're nowhere near a toilet, that's basically what the start of periods is like.

I never thought I would see such insightful commentary on YouTube, of all places.

The more I watch these videos the more I'm convinced that being a transgender is a serious mental illness.

They're not wrong in the sense that a desire to be transgender is itself a symptom of mental illness, namely something like gender dysphoria or an unhealthy obsession with autogynephilia. The transgenderism is just how the mental illness is manifesting itself, in a demand to live in denial as well as demanding the rest of society normalize that denial whilst pretending it has no negative impact whatsoever.

I would argue that they CAN'T put it to the side, due to the way that gender roles work in reality (as opposed to in transgenderists' heads).

Gender roles are assigned automatically based on your perceived biological sex. Since "trans women" rarely if ever "pass" as female, their biological sex is readily-apparent; thus, they continue to be assigned the male gender role (and the male privilege that comes with it) whether they want it or not... and whether they realize it or not.

In fact, this may explain why becoming a "trans woman" holds such appeal for men: not only do they keep their male privilege, they're also freed from the restrictions that otherwise go with it (i.e., access to anything designated "female"-- dresses, makeup, women's resources, being seen as non-threatening/vulnerable, etc.), AND gain what I'd call "trans privilege" (the "right" to deference from "cis" people) on top of that.

While it's sometimes difficult to distinguish between "trans women"'s male privilege and trans-privilege, I think that-- given how thoroughly they dominate and eclipse "trans men"-- there's clearly a distinction.

Those are some fantastic points. Awesome comment. I think the original commenter would probably agree with you, although that's way too much nuance for this trans youtuber, haha.

Giving up male privelage for trans and female privelage lol, what a brave step

When he opens with "I'm a transgender girl" I just wanted to laugh. You're a dude putting on a cartoon voice. I forwarded to him saying he was a Mormon. Is that what messed him up? A religious background that said it was not okay to just be gay? I looked at some of his older videos -- notice he tries to keep his large man hands out of the picture. Long hair and a ton of makeup might make someone who just glances see a "female," but cut the hair short and wash the makeup off, he's right back to male. Sad that he couldn't just be happy as a gay guy.

One comment states the obvious -- he's a he -- and then another has this gem <that's not your thing to decide who's or who's not a girl. i don't agree wth trans people but you are totally wrong telling someone what they can and can't be.> Mother Nature decides.

I do think a lot of the time a very conservative/homophobic/religious background breeds this kind of sentiment among men who'd just be gay guys otherwise. Blaire White for instance is pretty conservative and strict about gender roles, I feel like she wants to appear "normal" and thus straight. Then there's people like the head of the Mermaids trans organization in the UK, she openly stated her husband couldn't accept their son liking "girl toys" and she thought her son might turn out to be gay & the father couldn't accept that so the parents transed the kid. It's absurd gaslighting that organizations like Mermaids claim that transition is not gay conversion therapy when anybody can go on YouTube, look up Susie & Jackie Green, and find the CEO of the damn organization talking proudly about how they converted their probably possibly gay son to a woman. It's awful

These people really overestimate the amount of hormonal fuckery the human body can take...
