to deny this is not a social contagion is to be wholly ignorant as to what the fuck is going on.

It goes beyond ignorance. "Very rare" they said.

This is why zoomers are less supportive of gay rights than millennials. Because if you go to a space that’s intended for gay/lesbian/bisexual individuals and groups in a college or school campus, the space is overrun with non-binary straight kids.

And they are all college aged, what a surprise...

Let's see if most of them will keep said identities after they get out of college, I doubt that this will be the case.

Unfortunately they seem to keep in their college spaces and keep at it. Or go at it even harder when they're in the work space.

Unfortunately they seem to keep in their college spaces and keep at it.

They are queer until they have to leave their "safe spaces", basically social climbers.

Or go at it even harder when they're in the work space.

Only to then get fired and whine about it on the internet.

So I'll do some math, according to this almost 25% (1 in 4) of gen z "identify" as lgbt or genderqueer, of which slightly less than 5% has a different gender identity than cis female/male (and not all of these are lgb). Since usually surveys estimate the lgb population around 3-6%, and trans 0,3-0,6% that means that out of 100 gen z:ers we should have maybe 5 lgb and half a transperson, instead we have 25 people 'identifying' as ~queer~ of which 5 some kind of trans. So the logical conclusion to this is that out of ~queer~ gen z:ers easily more than half, maybe even as high as 80% are heterosexual, claiming their place in the community due to gender expression, one gay make out session, or having a 'same-gender partner'. Not to be gate-keepy but no wonder the community is the way it is, the straight people are taking over.

I hope all of these "queers" go on hormones and sterilize themselves.

It can be their own, personal contribution to help alleviate "climate change".

the title is slightly misleading: Deckman said her research across two surveys of adult-age members of Gen Z reveal that though a majority identify as heterosexual, roughly 1 in 4 identify as gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgender or “genderqueer.” With respect to gender identity, in both of Deckman’s surveys fewer than 5 percent of Gen Z Americans identify as not being cis-female or cis-male.

5% is a huge increase, though. Think about your high school -were 5% transgender?

The CDC (US Center for Disease Control) released a study in January 2019 that found that almost 2 out of every 100 US high school students identified as transgender. That would be 40 students in a high school of 2000.

My high school had lots of gay kids, as did my university, but not one that I knew of thought of themselves, or truly wanted to be, the opposite sex.

Social contagion for sure.

Oh it definitely is social contagion. The title makes it sound like 1 in 4 identify that way (as either queer, transgender, or queer) when really it's also LGB + all that stuff. 5% is still a huge jump within the general population, heck even 2% is pretty massive like in your CDC study.

I fear the opposite Politico. Genderism is causing lifelong liberals to vote for Trump and conservative politicians in many circumstances because we see the destruction wrought by genderism and how it is harming young people. It’s not going to make me vote for Trump but I will absolutely factor this into all other voting and it gives me the greatest pause in voting for Joe Biden.

They’re being dense because they view genderism as being a liberal vs conservative thing.

They wont be able to use that only 1% bullshit line anymore. Even my little cousin who is 11 claims to be pansexual. 🙄

Good news. This is actually good news, if you look at it in a certain way.

1) This does prove it's really a fad. I miss the days when young people would feel rebellious simply by getting piercings or smoking pot. Now it's not enough, they need to push things further to outrage the adults. I wonder what the next generation of edgy "look at me!!" rebels will come up with?

2) In a way, if only these people weren't menacing the rights of women and homosexuals, I'd be kinda happy about it. It's like a test to see if you're fit to be a parent: if you're a nutcase, you gonna get sterilized by your own free will, therefore not burdening our overpopulated world with your equally crazy offspring.

3) The more the number of genderqueerpansexualstraightlesbian increases, the BETTER!! Hear me out: when everyone's "trans", being one would no longer make you into a special snowflake. And this means those people will stop pretending to be trans to feel special and unique.
