First it was "gender dysphoria will only go away with immediate transition and NEVER resolves itself" now this idiotic claim that puberty blockers are a harmless pause button. And these are the same people who claim cishets are uninformed.

Check out Lenins1stCat's (a mod's) posts. When an actual lawyer (edit: not a lawyer, just a reasonable person) chimes in with some unbiased info, the mod just has to check their post history and question that he might be a terf trying to sneak in "under the radar". When the lawyer reasonable person gives another detailed explanation, the mod is upset that he's so "neutral" about it then talks about how "oppressed" the trans are and how they are becoming militant because they have nothing to lose. What a horribly toxic mindset. The self-righteousness and viciousness just oozes out. I shouldn't be surprised this is a mod.

When an actual lawyer chimes in

lokkenmor:

Since I'm doing disclaimers I'll throw not a lawyer in while I'm at it. And I'm not a clinician of any description either.

Fair enough, edited.

It’s Reddit. Of course the people on this site are going to bitch and moan about the ruling, considering that sane people have been chased off the site.

TRA Logic: Biology is more complex than (insert your highest level of education here), sex is an infinite spectrum, trans healthcare is woefully complicated and underfunded, nobody knows how a gender is made, but also we can start and stop puberty as many times as we like until they're ready for their perfectly functional replica genitals.

nobody knows how a gender is made,

Well, when a mommy gender and a daddy gender love each other very, very much…

The most popular puberty blocking drug, Lupron, is commonly used to treat hormonal tumors, such as prostate cancer. In fact, that's one of the reasons terfs like to flaunt statistics that say that Lupron causes death in a frighteningly large portion of people: those people already had cancer.

You know what else Lupron is used for? Chemically castrating sex offenders. And you want to give that shit to children willy-nilly? And I've never heard the stats about overall death from all Lupron patients—I'm not sure those stats exist—only about increased risk of death in women taking it for precocious puberty (who presumably do not have prostate cancer), and most of the time it's the severe bone density problems in young people that are talked about more often.

There are Lupron aftermath support groups for a reason. One of its other questionable uses, given the serious side effects, is for endometriosis (i.e. women who did NOT have cancer).

Isn't that the thing they gave to brave transwoman Alan Turing?

:( I know it's a joke but damn, RIP Alan Turing. If they actually try to trans him I'll be so goddamn pissed.

They already have, I'm sorry to say. They're revising history and making him out to be a pioneer of chemical transitioning.

No, they gave Alan Turing estrogen hormone therapy, Lupron wasn't around yet

The absolute meltdown over not letting confused children who don't understand the nuances of gender and sexism take hormones to halt their puberty

This is literal murder
