Who am I to question someone else’s subjective experiences? If someone tells me that that is how they have personally experienced their sexuality, then I really have no choice but to take them at their word, because no one else could possibly know but them.

The irony of this person saying this while they also think gay men need to like vaginas. I love how "sexuality is subjective, everyone experiences sexuality in different ways" stops with "actually everyone needs to feel attracted to both sets of genitals".

People like this think they're deep and philosophical but all I ever hear is "I'm too lazy to even attempt to understand the world, also I'm gonna deny your ability to understand the world cause you can't be smarter than me."

I think it's worrisome to insinuate that based on non-peer reviewed articles. Clock_Destroyer uses an article that describes an experimentation with a lot of items missing to really prove that hypothesis or not. Yes it's meant to be easier to read for the everyday person, but affirming something like that as being true provides "proof" for anyone advocating for conversion therapy.

Yup, I agree. And as the other commenter pointed out, the participants' self-identification obviously changed-- their awareness of facts about themselves-- but that doesn't mean their actual sexual orientation did.

Clock Destroyer aka Plant Daddy is a schoolteacher if he’s to be believed about anything. Poor children.

Oh THAT'S who that is. Now everything makes sense. I remember that guy from a past thread that was posted here.

Damn. I am so sorry he's a teacher.

Well, that's new. Not so long ago I've been told on AGB that "sexuality is fluid for »everyone« and my »conviction« of having »almost none« female attraction was a result of simply being strongly on a male attraction spectrum."

I normally don't respond to things of this nature, but you just made me chortle.

I didn't know gays could be neckbeards
