Literally in our rules, sexuality is defined by biological sex not gender identity. Bisexuals are attracted to the two sexes.

If you ever see anyone arguing otherwise, report them for breaking Rule 4 (disallowed language - homophobia/biphobia)

It’s literally in the word itself. Bi (2) sex (not gender).

When transgenders (disguised as pansexuals) attacked the bisexual community many years ago, their entire point was that bisexuals are transphobic because they only like men and women and exclude trans people. Which unfortunately gave the unintended implication that transgender is a 3rd sex, not male or female, which is inherently transphobic in and of itself. Pansexual was meant to be a mystical magical sexuality that sees 'hearts not parts' and is attracted to allllllllllllllllllll the genderrrsss even ones not invented yet.

Meanwhile some bisexuals, trying to defend themselves, made the mistake of trying to say "bi means two or more genders" to prove they weren't transphobic, when what they should have really done was to double-down (like I and some other bis did) and say "trans people are still men and women, and bisexual means attracted to both men and women."

I was more than happy to let pansexual exist as a dumpster for people who wanted to identify themselves as willing to date trans, but I also felt it was transphobic and dehumanizing to categorize trans people as a non-male/non-female third sex.

What you're seeing on that page is just some of the remnants that washed up on shore from the battle between transgenders (disguised as pansexuals) and bisexuals.

Once transgenders gave up, the pansexual trend quickly faded to the background and only some people really cling to it now, the definition of it keeps changing too. Back then it meant to be attracted to men/women/trans, now you can be pansexual for liking girls who identify as bananas and girls who identify as qumquats. It's a meaningless label.

As you can see, bisexual isn't labeled as 'transphobic' anymore now that the language-police have changed its definition by force to be "two or more genders" rather than "men and women."

We are living in times when people are abusing their power to literally change the definition of words, and through words trying to change reality as we know it. It's really terrifying.

A sexual attraction to both male and female sexes. The end.

No sexuality is attraction to gender identity. Biology does not care about it, only sex of a person matters - in any sexuality. Any animals, including humans, just can't have sexuality based on social constructs.

It depends on how old are you. To older millennials and Gen X, bisexuality means being attracted to men and women. I've never heard anyone my age say anything about genders (irl... I don't count what people say online). If a person only likes "cis" women and "trans men", we consider them either a straight man or a gay woman, not bisexual, because trans men are women.

Im considered late Gen Z and i always remember it as only 2 sexes

There are only 2 sexes, because there are 2 types of gametes found in human beings (sperm and ova). Thus it is only possible to be attracted to 0-2 sexes. Attraction to 2 sexes = bisexual (as loveSloane said, it's literally in the name).

Transgender ideology invented the pseudoscientific (unfalsifiable) term "gender identity" and claimed that sexual orientation is defined on the basis of attraction to different gender identities i.e. gender. Unfortunately, this homophobic ideology is pervasive in mainstream media and many large politically-left organizations, so you're gonna see a lot of BS definitions of "bisexual" and other terms. It's a pretty crazy moment of history that we're in, to be honest.

I was having an argument with someone after I said being bisexual means you only like 2 sexes, male and female. Since bi usually means 2. But for when i got look up claims to back this, i keep seeing articles says more than 1/multiple genders. I always assumed it meant 2 only. Especially since the term pansexual exists which means being attracted to anything. If bisexual means liking more than 2 genders, then why does the term still exist when we could replace it with pansexual?

Yeah, that would be because the definition was changed and the old definition memoryholed.

Definition of bisexual

1a : of, relating to, or characterized by sexual or romantic attraction to people of one's same sex and of the opposite sex

this definition is still there, and still accurate

definition of bi prefix

bi- prefix

Definition of bi- (Entry 2 of 4) 1a : two bilateral b : coming or occurring every two bicentennial c : into two parts bisect 2a : twice : doubly : on both sides biconvex b : coming or occurring two times biannual — compare semi- 3 : between, involving, or affecting two (specified) symmetrical parts

it means two, like a bicycle, and not three like a tricycle. the other definition was shoved in to include trans, and doesn't follow the bi prefix definition, it sounds more like pan

new definition of bisexual: also : of, relating to, or characterized by sexual or romantic attraction to people of one's own gender identity and of other gender identities

one+others???

Ironically the better definitions(Binary ones) are still all on Urban dictionary. Which were defined before this '2 or more genders', 'Multiple Genders' thing took over the official sites, which have mostly gone woke and inaccurate.

It's not about what we think, it's about what the word means.

Looks like there isn't a snapshot on archive.org or archive.vn that precedes this change. Really frustrating to try to point out to people what a word means and have a major authority get it wrong.

Well it’s about liking 2 sexes , not multiples genders or identity
