I have to admit I'm surprised the Guardian remembered they're the Guardian and ran that piece. Excellent read.

Among these concerns were the fact that children attending GIDS often seemed to be rehearsed and sometimes did not share their parents’ sense of urgency; that senior staff spoke of “straightforward cases” in terms of children who were to be put on puberty blockers (no case of gender dysphoria, notes Bell, can be said to be straightforward); that some were recommended for treatment after just two appointments and seen only infrequently thereafter; some felt that GIDS employed too many inexperienced (and inexpensive) psychologists; that clinicians who’d spoken of homophobia in the unit were told they had “personal issues”. One told Bell that a child as young as eight had been referred to an endocrinologist for treatment.

Absolutely shocking. Parents shunting gay teens through medical procedures because of homophobia or a desire for social justice points.

This is going to have a bloody messy outcome in about three ish years when these kids hit their late teens and early twenties, and start suing.

Really good article. Appalling too, the way they tried to silence him. And the fact the clinic was so sloppy with data. The very heavy hand of trans ideology groups in treating kids. Many of whom showed signts of depression, trauma, autism and "“the children are often gay” . Heartbreaking. One day, and I don't think it will be too far in the future, there's going to be an avalanche of evidence showing harm to these kids given powerful drugs. Widespread revulsion, and all the people loudly advocating- screeching- in favor of this drugging kids should become disgraced pariahs.

The depressing thing about this also is that we're gonna have paert of a new generation that are sexually damaged because of the drugs and (if worse) genital operations.

Amazing article, thanks for sharing. Like others said, I'm really surprised that something this thoughtful and detailed came out of a mainstream media outlet, when there seems to be such a required party line to toe regarding the transgender movement.
