My guess is that it has more mainstream appeal. It's not just LGB or just feminists on it. A lot of the sub is straight men and TRAs are cowards who won't go after straight men.

Yeah this. Its stupidly simple once you see it, they only go after people who are already marginalized in some way - female, poc, actually gay/lesbian, jewish.

Companion sub r/SocialJusticeInAction is in the crosshairs of AHS, especially since its mods' literal answer to AHS complaints was "fuck you".

I don't know why either is still standing, but it's wonderful while it lasts!

TRAs hate women and have a vested ideological interest (however twisted and deranged it may be) in bending the LGBT community to their will. That is their focus and I think that's really the sum of it.

To expound a bit more; I try to keep well-informed politically and when I was on reddit that meant visiting a variety of political boards, including r/RightWingLGBT. When they purged that board among others, I honestly at first thought reddit's commie mods were just getting rid of all the conservative places. But it quickly became apparent that it was far more directed at feminist, lesbian, and other such groups women frequented that hadn't completely fallen to the TRAs, especially when a good number of conservative boards remained in place, as well as boards such as r/askgaybros and the aforementioned r/TumblrInAction.

TRAs are bullies and if there's one thing that's apparent about them as a group is that they LOVE demeaning, harassing, and threatening women. I honestly feel that it's a thrill to them and they just don't get that out of going after other men.

Yeah, it is weird but seem the only sane anti-TRA sub left. I think reddit seems to target feminist and gay sub, the accusation of misogyny seem true.

Have TRA now added "if fat women are women" to their vile "if Black women are women" crap? From the photos, I thought they were just saying "look, she put on some weight" -- how either picture relates to straight men being expected to prefer other men over women, I dunno!

They don't seem to understand adjectives very well. Neither "fat" nor "black" (or "skinny" or "white," etc.) is used before the word "woman" to try to describe someone as what they aren't. "Trans" is. It's similar to saying "ersatz" or "pseudo" or "approximate." Of course, those are realistic descriptions, which are forbidden. So it's easier to try to make their arguments look sound by inserting irrelevant comparisons.

I think part of it is size. TumblrInAction has close to 500,000 subscribers, and I think Reddit management is a lot happier to sacrifice something like LGBDropTheT with 20,000 subscribers to the mob than they are to ban one that's so popular. They know banning it would generate a major backlash and further delegitimize Reddit.

Nah. The_Donald was one of the biggest non-default subreddits and the AHS crowd larped it enough to get it banned.

Cuz it's populated mostly by straight men. 🤷

TRAs and many wokies in general feel entitled to the support of women and LGB people. "I'm fighting for your rights!" they'll say, while fighting against your rights, "how dare you not support me???" When straight men offend them they see it more as the natural order of things, rather than as a betrayal.

That, and they're cowards, so they won't go after groups they view as having more power than they do.
