I adding boxing with a heavyweight bag after lifting. It turned out to be fantastic for all sorts of stress. It also improved my cardio, back, shoulders, and core.

Write about it in a journal/diary/private blog. It'll file all these swirling thoughts away temporarily so you can step away and focus on other things that you need to. Books, Music, and Computer games can be used for some escapism and dopamine. The endorphins from physical exercise always works to relieve stress. Like taking mood drugs but much more balanced. Cut out any junk and eat nourishing food, because otherwise these natural stress relievers will be weakened.
