Back when being LGB was scandalous. Rock Hudson and Elton John. Who could have possibly saw that coming.

Anyways, one of the big arguments against LGB (The T hadn't latched onto the white guilt teat quite yet) was that it would corrupt the children.

Well. Hasn't it?

This post was allowed to remain for roughly 2 days. Goodwill was extended towards OP as someone who would potentially like to learn and understand LGBDTT, and grow in their understanding of the world.

It is apparent that OP is a homophobe and not interacting here in good faith, so this is being locked and OP is being banned.

EDIT: to be clear - conversation about the "slippery slope" and why/how LGB is or is not a part is fine, it's our history and it's also our battle even today. We can have civil discussion. Blaming LGB for getting equal rights and that our very existence opened the floodgates of pedophilia is not.

The libertines of Critical Theory (including Gender Critical Theory) have corrupted the children. I dare to say that even people with genuine GID did not corrupt the children. You know the classical transsexuals who just wanted to have their SRS to be more at ease with themselves,got it performed and then went of with their lives without going to classrooms and filled young minds with shit about the "gender spectrum".

The obviously provocative and disingenuous nature of your question inspired me to look more closely. In skimming some pages of your comments and in particular this kind of thing, I'm inclined to take your participation here as perhaps less than entirely sincere.

If your logic were true we would indeed be having sex with ducks by now too (remember that one?). Fact is, a small bunch of mainly privileged white males, reacted to being told no more by progressive society by appropriating the experience of victimisation of the LGB, and the T, and were supported in this by the only people dumb enough to believe it - hormone addled teenagers, and, some other mainly privileged white men.

You can be lgb but you don't have to believe in queer theory or critical gender theory. That is what is corrupting children. Nonsense beliefs about the nature of sexuality and gender... we were fine for almost 3 decades and now you can see what the gender nonsense is doing to the community.

as others have pointed out, the slippery slope was sex with x (animals,etc.) it wasn't "If we allow gays to do x it will result in straight girls getting mastectomies."

No, giving civil rights to people who happened to be born homosexual has not "corrupted the children". Nowadays, the vast majority of children who are transed by their parents are subjected to that because their parents think they might be gay or lesbian and are homophobic, or are just braindead people following the advice of "experts". Nowadays, the vast majority of transsexuals are heterosexual, and historically, transing has been something that was done to homosexuals against our will. We didn't create this beast. And overly conservative rhetoric pushes even heterosexuals into becoming transsexuals, so no, more homophobia isn't the solution.

This might seem a bit harsh but it is a fair representation of what many people do believe.

I was born in the 80s and I have seen things change pretty drastically in that time.

I don't think kink belongs at Pride. There I said it! Maybe, just maybe, gay dudes marching down the street with ball gags and assless chaps did harken the demise of our civilization at least a tiny bit.

It apparently made straight white women want to chop their tits off and change their names to some bland flavor of white people name so they too can grind leather-clad bears in the big parade!
