I just wish Blaire wasn't forever over-performing his version of femininity

I'm not sure I'd call that an over-performance—I actually know women like that. It doesn't bother or offend me.

I know gay men like that, too, but I digress.

I don't mind her look. I sort of dig it.

I've actually never met anyone who faked a disorder except for one woman at a church I visited years ago who faked having cancer. But my experience is people who think they have a disorder (especially a Cluster B disorder like NPD/BPD) usually do have it, or major traits of it.

If not the exact disorder they claim then usually they have some other severe mental health condition, because mentally stable people don't fake having a mental illness or personality disorders. I have met numerous trans people who said they suspect they have BPD and/or NPD - and I don't doubt they are correct.

Nowadays young people get attention for having "something"/being different so they're all going to claim they have some actual condition. It is the next step from many people claiming that they are introverts. Social media clout is a drug to these kids and they'll do anything to chase the high.

They probably are, yeah.

Apparently TikTok has created a breed of individuals who perform disorders for attention. One can't really get that kind of attention offline for having a disorder, so this seems like an entirely new phenomenon.

That said, it's likely quite a few of the people doing this have disorders other than the ones they're claiming to have.
