Your relative's behaviour is one thing, but the fact that the school is defending it as he does it in front of children is another thing entirely. This is why a growing number of parents are homeschooling their children. If I had a child in that school I would pull him out and homeschool him until I found a decent school. Hats off to Ron DeSantis for putting a stop to that shit in some grades, hopefully he extends that to all schools.

Anyway, your relative is a danger to children. You do not have to put up with that.

This is just the tip of the iceberg with education. For at least 30 years, Education Departments at universities have been one of the focal points of education-as-social-engineering. They are virtually all extremely left-wing and über-woke. I have a friend whose wife recently got a Master's in Education, and she came out spouting all sorts of bullshit she never would have prior to her indoctrination. They are very deeply entrenched.
