Fuck it, while Bette seems to back down, I don't think she really is. After using nitter, because twitter is as useless as that creepy ass Irish surgeon in Florida, Bette links to the NYT article and states basically she is not the big bad bigot the TRA's claim she is. The TRA crowd are big mad she doesn't say trans specifically.

But like a lot of people, Bette doesn't seem to know the transsexuals from back in the day are not the same as the dudes with spinny dresses and programmer socks/the tiny dudebrokings with a weird fixation on fantasy male gay relationships today.

I hope this whole thing will peak other people who hardly know any of current day transpeople. They are fucking everywhere online but even I hardly bump into one offline so I kind off get that.

It's weird how these people actually live in a totally different reality. These terms make women sound like chattel but the TRAs don't seem to even connect that dehumanization. Then if you say the word "woman" the TRAs think THAT is dehumanizing.

Ya... I went to a protest a few days after rvw was overturned and I screwed up and put " women and kids" on my protest sign vs people and kids..... i felt horrible once I realized what I did.

The same people who would scream in your face if you said "All Lives Matter" are now infuriated that you are not using the most inclusive language possible when referring to abortion. Many of the euphemisms that are supposed to be used ("womb bearers") seem disturbingly close to "breeding stock." It sounds like something I would hear in a Coneheads sketch ("Greetings Mr. Jones, at what date do you and your womb-bearing companion expect that the impending larval human will be hatched?"). Even if things were the way they said they were, and men and non-binaries got abortions too, abortion would be overwhelmingly a women's issue, to a greater degree than police violence against black people vs the general population ever was.
