I Signed Up to Study Sexual Health. What I Got Was Gender Ideology, Fetishism, and Porn. If someone had told me these things, I would have accused them of culture-war paranoia. That was before I enrolled in a professional training program that delivered an extreme form of ideological indoctrination.

Wow. This one shocked me.

My question for you, dear Saiditers, where did this go so wrong? I know it's been a bunch of small steps. But how did people with such radically damaging views sneak into the mainstream? This is no longer just an amusing roll-our-eyes kind of crazy. This is destroying us. And what do we do to come back? The coming vote is basically irrelevant to this question. We have a much bigger problem.

Importantly, these people did not 'sneak' anywhere. There is certainly a group(s) that have methodically been pursuing each small step you mentioned and filling our educational system with their (usually unknowing) degenerate lackeys for the express purpose of our destruction. Who these people are is up for debate as they have deployed an unprecedented array of smoke and mirrors tactics over the last 80-100 years. What we can be sure of is that so long as we allow them to silence "unacceptable" questions, opinions, or views, they will continue to live in the shadows and further their goals.

I know it's been a bunch of small steps.

One big step: Community. Every atheist envies church for the ability to interact with other people outside of a work environment.

Bunch of corporations (and enemy governments like China) realized this and made Colleges into that new social environment to replace church. A place you're stuck at because you paid a lot of money. Where you are surrounded by people under constant economic stress who mostly believe the same things you do. In order to pass the class it's expected that you will discuss the topic (repeating it aloud for weeks) with other students and teachers. It's brainwashing you pay for, that you cannot leave because you paid for it.

Religious assholes accusing atheists of "Devil Worship" did not help matters.

That's my perspective on how it started. There's safe place for every faith expect the faithless. Easy targets for manipulation. Those who ask too many questions are ostracized. What most atheists don't know, is that if you walk into a church, you won't be beaten to death if you want to hang out and make friends (depending on the location).

it takes children some time to work out both whether they themselves are a girl or a boy, and that both they and others cannot change sex.

I'm sure it takes a long time nowadays since teachers and sick adults keep confusing children by telling them stories about transsexuals.

The liberal elite have been pro paedo since at least Jean-Paul Sartre.

If there is no base mortality and the social structure is evil and self perpetuating then everything normal people hate and oppress the must be hated purely because it undermines that structure so should be supported by progressives. Paedos are obviously the most hated and oppressed people in Western culture so they must be the attacking the evil structure in some way other people aren't.
