Well, it didn't help that the sub was shut down for almost three weeks for me, but I'm still glad to be back.

Yeah, even aside from this sub going private (thus depriving us of contributions from any members who haven't been invited back), the... contretemps of two weeks ago really unnerved me, I guess. Took a while to feel like writing anything here again. Dunno if anyone else has had a similar reaction?

Same feeling. I have been completely absent for more than a week because I didn't feel like I belong here anymore after the recent drama and even considered quitting because I had my own issues with this place, I then took a quick visit only to see that there are barely any new posts or comments here anymore.

Yeah? Guess I'm not the only one, huh? I also had (have) a hard time with the whole voting-for-and-against-people thing; makes me scared of being unfair to someone... either by forgetting them, or wrongly going thumbs-down. Yet I know it's necessary to do my part there. So I resolve the conflict in my accustomed manner: by running away! (We're not exactly talking Profiles in Courage here.)

I'm hoping that this place will rebound sometime soon... and that you'll wanna stick around, Cancel. Especially since I know what it's like, feeling you don't belong... and it'd be nice if we could help each other stop feeling that way.

Yeah, same. I had a few big post projects I was going to embark on but put that energy into vetting people and other related activities instead.

I believe they had to change the posting mechanism to invite only due to spam.

I saw that post. The reason they "can't get in here" is because not enough people are contributing to the invite thread.
