I'm not even going to try and challenge my husband's authority. I know my faults and I know I'm going to make mistakes but I'm going to trust my man and let him lead.

The problem is we often see things with modern secular eyes instead of biblical eyes. Yes, having your husband spank you is controversial because it's not specifically mentioned in the bible. However, we're supposed to submit to him and discipline is something that the bible makes very clear that all of us need. So when I do something wrong I don't have a problem submitting to his authority and it's honestly a lot easier just to take the spanking. We get off easy on this one but husbands are obligated to punish themselves and self-punishment can go on for days, weeks or even years.

The only thing I will say is that I'm careful to not be imposing our Christian marital standards on others. So it's equally wise that people that disagree with those standards not try to impose their precepts on people like my husband and I.

Such information is in the same category of historical information as recording the size of a man's penis or a woman's breasts. IE: There's not a good reason to mention such information unless it played a serious role in how historical events unfolded.

I don't understand this entire "coming out" mularky.

Here's my reasoning why I think coming out is hogwash,

I'm married and I don't discuss my sex life with anyone. Plus, when people come over to our home no one even sees our bedroom. In fact, because my husband is almost 30 years older than I am the majority of people don't even think we're married.

No one would know that they're gay if they just stopped flaunting it in everyone's face. When a gay couple goes for a walk together there will be people that are going to think the worst and be disgusted but 97% of the people won't care at all. Sure enough that I believe homosexuality is a sin and talks to me about it then I'll state my beliefs. However, I'm not going to break down someone's bedroom door to stop them from doing whatever it is that they're doing. All I'm saying is keep what's private PRIVATE.

A lot of us are stay at home moms, do unpaid missionary work or work in a church or for some other religious organizations
The majority of those "studies" only count secular charities and exclude our donations to churches and other religious groups

Can you give an example of something a husband may command of his wife that his wife would rightly refuse? And I mean the most bland, most-likely-to-happen of examples rather than extremes (like 'poison our child').

The 1st example that came to my mind actually was a husband demanding his wife have an abortion. In society abortion is legal but it certainly is against God's will.

A more down to earth example is a husband expecting a wife to lie for him. My husband did a rolling stop at a stop sign and got pulled over. I was content to sit quietly and not say anything but he debated with the police officer and told him to ask me. So, I told the truth and my husband got a ticket.

Some of the politest and nicest people that I've met have been atheists. However, I've noticed 2 things. 1. Moral atheists have gotten their morals due to Christian influences. 2. A close friend of my family is a freelance reporter. He's old school from the 80s and he has always been freelance. About 2 months ago he said that his instincts told him that this pandemic is most likely bullshit and that we're in a cold war with China. I don't see where the role of government is ever to intensify anything. Sounds kind of commie to me ;-)

Government intensifies competition by ensuring there are no monopolies, no collusion, etc. Also because there are some areas that government MUST get involved in (eg. Military) it should outsource whatever elements that can be outsourced of its undertaking to private sector. In dealings for these contracts it must be fair, offering no extraordinary benefits in exchange for work, and it must be free from any influence in awarding them.
