Civilization is a Faustian bargain in a sense.

It's race you have to run to the end. If any nation disavows technology they'll be destroyed by those that have not. However, the more immersed in technology a society becomes, the further it strays from the natural human state and the more deracinated and degenerate they become.

We see today that the more technologically sophisticated a society is, the lower the birth rate. East Asia>Europe>Middle east>India>Africa. And of course, the more advanced you are, the more you are plagued by things like seed oils, low sperm counts, low testosterone, high environmental pollution, more depression, more atomization, more sexual perversion, more draconian controls, and so on.

Maybe I'm a lunatic, but I think the best outcome for humanity would be if a nuclear war between China and the US broke out and both nuked each other to shit. Civilization would collapse for good and the world might never be able to restart industrial civilization as it has already exhausted the cheap and easily extracted reserves of fossil fuels.

There are no easy oil wells left. The new ones are increasingly in desolate places and require a higher and higher level of technical sophistication to extract them.

Keith is an intelligent and well-read man but he's a very dull speaker and boring presenter. It's easy to fall asleep during his videos as we drones about Hegelianism or some other impenetrable philosophical jargon. It's far more interesting to listen to history, war, material analysis or literary/film analysis than this stuff.

All these make up a part of the humanities. I would assume that the study of warfare is also a part of the humanities, as a topic in history.

History is a humanities subject and imo one of the only good humanities subjects left. Warfare is a very murky field because it doesn't fall into any specific categories. There are elements of science, humanities, and economics in it.

It's just that I was complaining about the oversaturation of philosophers in the alt-right, Keith woods, Joel Davis, Jay Dyer, Apollonian Germ, Richard Spencer, Tyler Hamilton...all bombarding us with their droll philosophering...trying to tie present-day western decline to some obscure intellectual fad centuries ago, be it nominalism, Christianity, humanism, liberalism, etc.

This is so dishonest. Ukraine is the world's 5th largest wheat exporter. Russia is the first. The sanctions on Russia are causing the food crisis, not Russian blockade of the Black sea. Ukraine has the option to ship the grain to Europe by rail.

In any case, these are secondary issues. The real reason is that China has bought up and hoarded 60% of the grain on the world food market at the start of the year and the pandemic lockdowns over two years led to refineries being shut down and its difficult to restart them.

Agriculture is fully dependent on oil and if oil goes up, food goes up. Plus, fertilizers have also spiked in price due to the supply chain disruptions.

I'm not saying that at all. I agree that you have to do rallies and street fights eventually. It's that you can only do so when you have achieved a level of success and establishment. Hitler and his guys weren't locked in jail for decades. They got quick because they had many sympathetic elites in the Prussian aristocracy, the military establishment, and the government.

They also had the active support of a significant chunk of the population, about 10-15% throughout the 20s that sympathized with their demands and were willing to donate money and bat for them.

WNs in America don't have any of that yet. So, doing street fighting and protests is just an invitation for ruin. It's better to build up those support bases first and then go to the street protest phase.
